Recently I was asked to illustrate my 3 biggest influences. The first thing I picked was Peanuts and Charles M. Schulz, a huge influence on me as a child and today, and not just the way I draw people with extremely round heads. Although that is one thing.

My second influence is the F-word. Yep, Feminism. The photo I drew from feels powerful for me every time I look at it. It sums up one of the big reasons why I want to draw for kids.

My final inspiration. I would have never gotten interested in design were it not for making posters and CD covers for my teenage band. This may also have been an excuse to draw a Fender Telecaster.
